We are pleased to share that ATIPES participated for the first time as a regular member of the International Federation of Translators (FIT) at the Statutory Congress held in Geneva in 2025. This milestone marked a significant step in the institutional growth of our organization and its consolidation within the international translation and interpretation community.
ATIPES was represented by Gerardo Cáceres (Secretary), Dora Deneke (Board Member), and Ute Jokisch Gaede (Professional Member). Their participation reaffirmed our association's commitment to professional development, regional representation, and international cooperation.
In addition to the main congress, the team also took part in the General Assembly of Members of the FIT LATAM Regional Center, where key issues for strengthening the translation community in Latin America were discussed.
Throughout the event, we shared our experiences, projects, and challenges, while gaining valuable insights from colleagues around the world. This participation allowed us to continue promoting the recognition and professionalization of the field in our region, and reinforces our dedication to developing initiatives that benefit translators, interpreters, and language professionals.
💬 “Being present in this international space was not only an honor but also a responsibility we embraced with enthusiasm and a forward-looking vision.” — Gerardo Cáceres
👉 If you're not yet part of our community, we invite you to join us and add your voice to the professional movement that is transforming the field of translation and interpretation in LATAM.
